Hey y'all. It's Friday again. This week was not as hectic as last week so I am hopeful. Let's see... my mom left scooted down to Orlando to surprise my niece for her state championship track meet. Can you feel that? It's the jealously rising from my skin. I need a vacation. We will be going to Boston next weekend to celebrate my cousin's graduation from law school. That's something. If I'm being honest, I am a little nervous about it. My good friend A.Mac told me that in light of recent events Boston is probably the safest place on earth right now. That makes me feel better. If nothing else, Boston has proven that if something does happen they are not above shutting the entire city down and going from house to house until they track down and subsequently capture the offender(s). 

In honor of my hopeful spirit, here are a few things that made me happy this week.

3 women who have been missing in my hometown for over 10 years were rescued Monday evening. I'm sure that if you own a television... radio and/or smart phone you're heard the miraculous story of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michele Knight. They are survivors and I am so thankful for their safe return. 

THESE shoes. I don't have a clue what I would wear them with, but I would be happier with them on my feet. Also, THESE, THESE and THESE. 

A weekly tradition of doing lunch with my mom... Food Truck Style. It's kind of like Gangham Style...you know... minus the singing... or dancing.... add food and a live band. Good times... good times.

Seeing pictures like this really remind me that I need to step my cookbook game up. Way up. I have really been eyeing THIS one on the Williams Sonoma website. I have also been drooling over THIS, THIS and THIS (since I just rejoined Weight Watchers). My birthday is not until September, but I would be happy to receive ANY and ALL of these in the mail. Need the address? No problem!

What has been making you happy during the past 7 days. It could be a little... I could be a lot. However much, it should always be something... even on the worst days find something to make you smile.

Seriously? My allergies have been kicking my butt. I know that I have praying to any and everything holy that Spring would finally arrive, but now that it has I am seriously rethinking my judgement. Tree pollen is the devils mistress and she has invaded my happy home. I have been sneezing like a madman and don't even get me started on my itchy blood shot eyes. My co-workers have resorted to leaving brochures about the Betty Ford Clinic on my desk. Guys... I don't have a drug problem... I suffer from seasonal allergies... okay? Cancel the intervention. What I really need is some relief. Any of your guys suffering the same fate? Have you found the good drugs that offer a little sanity? I would really like to stop sneezing on my keyboard. I would also like to stop using hand sanitizer like it's going out of style. Throw a girl a bone and tell me what OTC drugs work best for you. Please and thank you.
